Nestled along the picturesque Singapore River, Grand Copthorne Waterfront is an icon of luxury and sophistication. Recently, I had the pleasure of experiencing their renowned Epicure Brunch, accompanied by unveiling their new hotel refurbishment. Join me as I delve into this exquisite culinary journey and explore the hotel’s revitalised ambience.

The Epicure Brunch Experience:

From the moment I stepped into the elegant lobby, I was greeted by a warm ambience and impeccable service. The Epicure Brunch, hosted at the hotel’s Food Capital restaurant, promised a feast for the senses, and it certainly delivered.

The brunch spread was a gastronomic delight, featuring an array of international cuisines prepared by skilled chefs. From freshly shucked oysters to decadent desserts, each dish showcased the finest ingredients and meticulous attention to detail. Highlights included succulent seafood, tender roasts, and an impressive selection of artisanal cheeses.

One of the most memorable aspects of the Epicure Brunch was the interactive culinary stations, where chefs delighted guests with live cooking demonstrations and personalized creations. Whether it was made-to-order pasta, sizzling BBQ seafood or indulgent desserts, every dish was crafted with finesse and flair.

The ambience of the restaurant was inviting and sophisticated, with panoramic views of the Singapore River adding to the dining experience. The attentive staff ensured that every need was met, enhancing the overall enjoyment of the brunch.

Things to know about the Epicure Brunch experience

The cost of Brunch

There are three different tiered packages for brunch – Brunch is priced at S$128++ for adults and S$64++ for children aged 6-11, which includes unlimited non-alcoholic beverages like mocktails, juices and soft drinks.

Brunch package two is a free-flow alcoholic package that is available for an additional S$30++ per adult, which will
include Prosecco, white wine, red wine and beer, with the final package including the premium Veuve
Cliquot Champagne package for an additional S$60++ (or S$188++ per adult).

Opening hours

Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel Singapore’s Epicure Brunch will launch on Sunday, 3 March, and is now available every Sunday from 12 pm to 3 pm. The menu is rotational and subject to change, so all the videos and photos I shared were from my experience.

All the information you need to know

With 16 live stations, expect the food to always be fresh and the energy always high. Many cuisines were spread across three venues, including my favourite the seafood section with a tower of oysters, lobster, and prawns. There was a grilled section where you brought your peg with your table number to the chef, where you had a choice of octopus and prawns; by the time I chose from the grill station that was dishing out Wagyu ribeye and Australian lamb rack amongst other things, my octopus and prawns were waiting at my table.

Music

When we arrived, the exceptional three-man jazz band set the ambience. We had the pleasure of having front-row seats when they rolled (literally had their musical instruments on wheels) to our corner. To our surprise, our neighbouring table got up and sang with the band, which made for a fun afternoon.

The Staff

I found that the staff were knowledgeable when asked many questions (by me, of course) and were attentive to every need, from cleaning my never-ending dishes from our table to the endless flow of champagne. Every request was answered with a smile.

Hotel Refurbishment Unveiled:

Before the indulgent brunch began, I had the opportunity to explore the newly refurbished areas of the hotel. The transformation was nothing short of impressive, with modern design elements blending seamlessly with the hotel’s classic charm.

The guest rooms felt contemporary luxury, featuring stylish furnishings, plush bedding, and state-of-the-art amenities. The thoughtful attention to detail was evident in every aspect of the room design, creating a serene and inviting atmosphere for guests to unwind and relax.

In addition to the guest rooms, the hotel’s public spaces also underwent a stunning makeover. The lobby, adorned with striking artwork and elegant décor, served as a welcoming oasis for guests upon arrival. The revamped leisure facilities, including the executive lounge, fitness centre and swimming pool, provided guests with the perfect opportunity to rejuvenate and recharge during their stay.

What was the overall experience?

My experience at Grand Copthorne Waterfront’s Epicure Brunch and hotel refurbishment was impressive. Every aspect surpassed my expectations, from the delectable culinary offerings to the ambience and impeccable service.
