Check out the lights in Little India
From 13 November until 3 December 2023, head to Little India to see the area come to life, with a fantastic array of lights aligning the streets. The nights can be busy, but if it is your first time visiting the area, it is a must-do activity during the Deepavali festival! Lights turn on from 7 p.m. until midnight daily during the holiday season.
Visit the Deepavali Open House
From 14 October to 12 November, the Indian Heritage Centre opens its doors to the public from 10 am to 6 pm daily. Celebrate the festival of lights with a live cooking demo, storytelling events, a jewellery painting workshop and more! For more information and to book tickets, click here.!
Although the public holiday for Diwali in Singapore is Wednesday, 1 November, you can catch many events in and around Little India until 12 November. So you have plenty of time to enjoy the lights, food and free fun activities.

Hop on The Deepavali Big Bus Tour
If the streets seem too crowded for your liking, then “hop on” the Big bus tour and enjoy the festivities in the comfort of your own seat! The Big Bus Tour is available on 3 and 10 November from 7–8 pm or 8–9 pm. You also get a $5 voucher to try some of the delicious dishes that Little India has to offer. From 30 September through to 9 November, the Deepavali Festival Village is open to shop from 10 am to 10 pm; however, from 10 November until 11 November, the extended hours are until 1 am daily! Whether you are there to shop, enjoy the Deepavali activities, or listen to Traditional Indian music, it is a great thing to do with family and friends.
