Brunch recommendations

Turkish Eggs ($16)

If you have yet to try Turkish eggs, you need to try it here. The sourdough is made to order and is the same delicious recipe as the dough made for their pizzas; it comes with two poached eggs, served alongside yoghurt and paprika oil, but what makes it unique is the housemade chilli crunch (inspired by Lao Gan Ma chilli crisp), pomegranate and the mixed herbs. Combine it with one of the many coffee variations, award-winning Blacklist coffee from Western Australia.

Lunch recommendations

Burrata ($16)

I highly recommend starting with The Burrata for all those cheese lovers; this creamy burrata is from Southeast Italy, a town called Molise (approximately a 2.5-hour drive from Naples); the cheese is teamed with the house speciality (the chilli crunch), pickled cherry tomatoes and sesame seeds and herbs.

Baby Octopus ($18)

If you love seafood, you can’t go wrong with Elixir coffee and wines, baby octopus. This dish is crumbed and served with black aioli and lemon wedges. They have added squid ink and umami flavour to give it a unique taste.

Dinner Recommendations

Hot Mama ($28)

You can not come to Elixir Coffee and Wine without trying their excellent pizzas, and Hot Mama is my favourite by far! With Calabrese salami (my favourite), spicy Italian sausage, onions, fennel and yep, you guessed it, Elixir coffee and wines in-house delight – chilli crunch for that extra punch you didn’t know you needed. Why not try the Scarbolo ‘IL Ramato’ Pinot Grigio, Scarbolo, to complement the meal?

Dessert Recommendation

Pistachio Cake ($14)

No meal is complete dessert, or is that just me? The Pistachio Cake is a beautiful, light and zesty, nutty piece of mouth-watering goodness. Can you tell I am a dessert person? Served with a dollop of crème fraiche chantilly and drizzled with extra virgin olive oil (yes, you heard right!) to make it the perfect balance of sweetness.
